In the autumn of 2009 West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service opened their new community outreach training center, Safety Central. The aim of the site is to work in partnership with local agencies to actively engage with the community in order to provide safety training and resources for people of all ages to improve their lives.
For the opening of the center West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue wanted a film showcasing everything the center has to offer as well as looking back over the building and development of the site. This was to be shown at the launch to the local community and organisations as well as featuring on their website.
Liasing with the marketing team at Safety Central we devised a film that would encorporate footage filmed by our team and archive footage the marketing team had built up over the development of the site. We spent a week at the center filming with the staff and the people who came to the center to engage the training resources.
The end result was a real feel good film that showed how the fire service work closely with the local community to deliver fantastic training in a friendly and welcoming way. The launch of the site was a success and the center has continued to grow and reach more and more people in the community.
